Baller 34mph Posted July 21, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 21, 2014 So I have been skiing with this vest for like 3 -4 years now and it has allowed me to get back into skiing because of Low back problems , don't have any problems with that anymore , but in last 1 1/2 i have been dealing with alot of upper back and neck soreness. I thought it was how I was pulling ( maybe harder) but decided to take apart vest last week and the plastic is cracked on both sides. Called Goode and they are making new one for me. The questions i have is for those that use the vest do they have same soreness ? , has your vest cracked? have you heat molded it ? I'm thinking the heat molding would help. I was thinking that would heat mold around normal t-spine curve in back ? How have you guys done this ? Thanks for insight.

Baller 34mph Posted July 21, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted July 21, 2014 thanks man , got it . They are sending me a new one . Do you think better to heat mold in oven or just use a heat gun to upper part?
Baller Steven_Haines Posted July 21, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 21, 2014 the oven worKed real well! I just used a heat gun to touch up the edges and also get a tighter fit in my lower back
Baller SkiJay Posted July 22, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 22, 2014 @34mph I cracked a back plate annually. Goode always replaced it. Heat moulding didn't stop the cracking, but it did make it fit better. It didn't cause upper back or neck issues for me.

Baller Steven_Haines Posted July 23, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 23, 2014 I Know the power vest Isn't common Place, but they're a godsend to the guys like us that need them!
Baller SkiJay Posted July 23, 2014 Baller Share Posted July 23, 2014 @34mph I'm l sure a hair dryer would work too. I just heated up the part I was shaping until it became soft and pliable then hand shaped it as it cooled (with mechanic's gloves on).
