Baller swc5150 Posted January 16, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 16, 2015 Jody, or anyone with an answer, what's involved in adding ZO to an '04 196 Excal? New ECM of course, and I'm guessing adding DBW somehow? And, what kind of cost above the $1,600 for ZO itself?
Baller ripa38 Posted January 16, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 16, 2015 I added ZO to my 2003 196 last year. Was about $3,800.00 when finished. Had someone do it for me. Would have cost me just as much to do it myself. Glad I did it. Works great and a cheap solution compared to new boat.

Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted January 16, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted January 16, 2015 @swc5150, Depending on what boat you have limited/key pad dash or SE / Key switch dash will dictate total cost. The PCM parts remain the same at about $2500 and the ZO Cost is $1600. If you have the Limited you will need a Gateway Replacement add another $900 (est). I usually get $650 to do the job and all the pull off parts. . Florida Inboards Inc. Panama City, Florida 850 215 1996
Baller swc5150 Posted January 16, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted January 16, 2015 Thanks guys. That's not as scary as I thought. It's an SE too, so no worries the Faria Gateway.
Baller thager Posted January 17, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 17, 2015 I did my 02 196 with Tim @inboardsolutions in 2010. EASY! About 3K at the time. Got $500 for the Perfect Pass. $2500 total investment.

Baller markn Posted January 17, 2015 Baller Share Posted January 17, 2015 Jody Seal completed the ZO conversion on my 2004 196 Limited way back in 2009. It has worked flawlessly ever since. I was able to sell the old PP, so I think the total was around $3,600 and he even detailed the boat. Thanks Jody..you do good work! MWN
