  1. And lowered the price so people will actually buy it. The LC has a rabid following, so Toyota doesn’t need to copy the Bronco idea (which still is more Bronco II anyway) to revive the name.
  2. Yet I'm still ordering one:) I sure hope the TXi sticks around. Choice and competition only helps the sport. I know full well an entry boat will not work, just poking the panda;)
  3. I can live with this... "Land Cruiser is built on the TNGA-F global truck platform that is shared with Tundra, Sequoia and Tacoma, and is now offered as just as a 2-row SUV, replacing the old model that was longer and offered three rows." I'm just saying the market spoke as to what it wanted and Toyota responded, something I never thought I'd see.
  4. Risking another panda here, but did you guys see the new Land Cruiser's starting price has been lowered drastically to $56k from near $90k? Toyota admitted to pricing their core customers out of the market, resulting in huge reductions in sales, so they did a reset. And it's not some completely stripped base model, it's still a pretty loaded up LC. I personally went from "no freaking way" to "when can I place my order". Listen up big 3:)
  5. One issue may be that the average family walks into MarineMaxx looking for a boat to ski behind, and the odds of a DD boat being in stock to view is essentially zero.
  6. As others have stated, this was inevitable. I live in WI and property owners are simply done getting their docks and shoreline destroyed. I also don't believe manufacturers will stop building ski boats, but if they do, I'll continue skiing behind my bro's '12 200. It's not like there's been a revolutionary hull since the TSC1 anyway. Now get off my lawn!
  7. We have a local Heyday dealer and I see them in the wild all the time. Very few X/XT's in the wild from the MC dealer though...but a crap ton of NXT's. Maybe it's more localized to small town lakes and rivers? I bought a Bennington last year and went with the mid-range XS line. They have multiple ranges with varying creature comforts for those that don't want to get too crazy expensive. But there's also a large delta in price, which hasn't been the case in the ski boat market.
  8. It's confusing to me...and not trying to earn a panda here, but for real. Are we lucky ski boats are still being made, or are there really 5 people behind me ready to pay up if I don't buy one?
  9. When the CP was in production, the sales guy at our closest Centurion dealership hadn't even heard of it. That certainly didn't help sales. This is always a fun topic though:)
  10. Don't tell Nautique or they'll stop making 200's😉
  11. CP didn't get traction because it was a Centurion and the price delta wasn't substantial enough. Same with a Txi base vs Open version...it's not that much extra to get the goodies when you're already spending a lot of money. Anecdotally, our local MC dealer sold way more Sportstars than Prostars, just like they're selling way more NXT's today.
  12. The Carbon Pro and other "entry" boats failed in large part because you could get a used late-model "big 3" flag ship for similar money. Also, I think Nautique is currently proving you can sell a lower priced boat over the flagship with the 200.
  13. If that was 196, a decent percent of the guys and gals here would likely be placing orders for that money. Kudos Sanger! Proof you can dust off and refurb old molds!
  14. 2 buddies of mine submarined an MC Skier back in the mid 80's dropping it into reverse at speed. The boat dives like a dolphin for real! They hadn't installed the windshield, so water filled to the gunwales.
  15. Google search of the pic shows that boat at Swiss. Sitting on the MC trailer is a dead giveaway it's the same boat = scam.
  16. Scrubbing Bubbles worked on mine (2015).
  17. Agreed, DD service/winterization is easy, but it's nothing like a new outboard. The block drains itself...can't beat that. But as a true course ski tug, there's no replacing a DD boat.
  18. Agreed, when it comes to maintenance, I love our new outboard. Not having to drain the block is so nice up here in WI.
  19. We got so lucky here on our river in Eau Claire, WI. All the wake boats that used to be out there are now gone. I have no reason why, but I'll take it. Nothing but tournament ski boats and pontoons out there now...even 2 MC Barefoot 200's.
  20. Hopefully Canada has something like Financial Fraud Kill Chain we have in the US. I'm assuming he's told his bank, but prob needs to get whatever gov enforcement agency you have up there involved. That just sucks so bad:(
  21. You're not getting any factory warranty with this boat. Hours are way too high.
  22. I wouldn't pay that when there are 14 other 2021-23 Prostars on SIA alone you could negotiate on. I'm sure it's a great boat, but the market is soft and we're heading into fall, so deals will be there for the taking.
  23. I'd go for the updated PS hull vs paying a premium for the 50th FWIW.
  24. I don't see it worth anything more than a black Prostar. Other than maybe the '93 S&S commanding a couple of extra bucks when really clean and with an LT1, the other special edition Prostars don't bring anything additional ('88 Platinum, '90 PS Limited, 25th Anniversary PS, '98 30th, etc.)
  25. Royal Purple Max ATF is my go-to.
