Baller Skoot1123 Posted June 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 1, 2015 +1 for Sensient Dye. One bottle/gallon turned my whole lake a caribbean type color. Fantastic stuff and easy application!
bgturf
Sensient Dye has proven to be a very good dye, We have started using it on our lakes in Arvin, ,right now we are using 1 gallon size of Black to about 3 gallon sizes of Blue to get the true shading needed for Weed and Algea supression. Sensient has a Aquashade / Mirage product avaliable. I would caution users of just using Blue if the water does not have alot of turbidity in it, as sunlight will penetrate to the bottom and things will grow. When handeled carefully no smirff effect. Baller Skoot1123 Posted June 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 1, 2015 @skiinxs - you must have had a bad experience with Sensient? Please explain.
Baller skiinxs Posted June 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2015 I was viewing on my phone and must have hit a dislike with my big fat thumbs, sorry didn't mean to, I think I just fixed it. I haven't used lake dye before, but have considered it. Just added a bunch of grass carp, but it will probably be a couple years before they have a lot of impact.
