Baller susanm1ski Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 I bought an Eagle vest recently and was very pleased with it for the first week or so... and then all the stitching started coming out! I've tried tying the loose ends together but that hasn't helped. Furthermore, it's not just one section, it's the whole jacket. I tried calling Eagle about it but the line immediately goes to the busy signal every time I call (weird, huh?). Has anyone else had this problem recently? Baller mlange Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 Both my 6 year old vest and my new one this season have been solid. No stitching has even come out of my older one. It was just getting faded so I figured I'd pony up for a new one.
Baller BlueSki Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 Use the international number on their website, not the toll free. Their toll free number is having issues due to the phone company's ineptitude.
Baller susanm1ski Posted September 1, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 @mlange , I am wondering if I may have just gotten one from a bad batch. Everyone I know who has an eagle vest loves them and hasn't had any problems. @BlueSki , I tried the international number too, but couldn't get it to work. Baller BlueSki Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 @susanm1ski, Now that you mention it, I had a problem too on my first attempt. I tried a day or two later and it worked fine. I did not try email, but I did receive one from them with tracking information, so at least something is working. billb
My daughter's vest had a couple of issue too. I sent it back during the off season and they fixed it right up. No further problems. Give them a chance and they'll make it right.

Baller drewski32 Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 I've personally never had issues but I've seen people before with jacked up vests... probably old though
Baller ral Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 I had stitching issues with my first Eagle vest, but solved if with black thread and a needle...
Baller jlittle Posted September 1, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 My Eagle vest is 4 months old. Stitching is unraveling in a couple spots. I will try to resolve the issue with them in the off season (+/- a month). Hopefully they will take care of it. I do like the vest.
Chad_Scott
Take a picture of it and date of purchase and email chuck at cg@barefootcentral.com and I am certain he will take care of it
Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted September 1, 2015 Supporting Member Share Posted September 1, 2015 Fwiw, some of my stitches on my E1 have looked like they might come undone for about 3 years now. I have no clue if your situation is similar, but there's something about the design that makes certain stitches gap a lot and yet not necessarily ever fail. Baller susanm1ski Posted September 1, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted September 1, 2015 Thanks for the input guys! I think I will probably try to get it fixed by eagle in the off season. I'll try contacting those other guys in the meantime and see if they can help me out. @Than_Bogan unfortunately the stitching on my vest is actually coming out :(
