Baller Waternut Posted November 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 29, 2015 A previous poll got me wondering what percentage of people on here ski what. If you primarily ski both public and private lake courses, pick the one you ski the most.
Baller ALPJr Posted November 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 29, 2015 Mostly ski a private course with my ski buds, also ski on three public ponds with courses.
Baller thager Posted November 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 29, 2015 I do all of the above.
Baller Ed_Obermeier Posted November 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 29, 2015 Option 2 needs to be divided into two different options - I ski a permanent course on a public lake and/or I ski a portable course on a public lake.
ahopkinsTXi
I ski a permanent course on a public lake, but also open water ski about once a week. Sometimes during the week before work it is way faster to open water ski.
Baller pgmoore Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 When I'm skiing in a course, it's on a private lake. But on the weekends, it's open water at the public lake with friends.
Baller Nando Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 All of the above- I ski what's virtually a private lake (no public access, only 4 homes and only 2 boats), a couple of public lakes that have a shared course, and some open water. Baller aupatking Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 Open water when crunched for time, next river over is our permanent course, on public water of course. @Ed_Obermeier I need to talk to you about a portable course. It sure would be nice to idle from the house, straight to the course.

Baller skihard Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 Enjoying the luxury of being able to build a home in a ski community and enjoying all it's benefits. I also love having guests over to ski and have even hosted some members from here at our house. I also ski year round too so I'm very fortunate. Now if the gains would just start coming quicker to shorter line lengths I'd be a much happier dude! :)
Baller LLUSA Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 I had no choice 24 years ago, if I wanted to ski, I had to build my own lake. You gotta wonder was it really worth the time, money and effort
Baller adkh2oskier Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 I have access to a course on public water and get about half my skiing in the course and half free skiing on the lake. Free skiing usually early season(mid May/early June) before course is in and the rest free skiing due to wind and or boat traffic at course. Baller Skoot1123 Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 @llusa - every morning waking up and seeing that lake? Pretty much a no brainer to me!!
Baller BrennanKMN Posted November 30, 2015 Baller Share Posted November 30, 2015 Permanent course on a public lake about 20 minutes from the house. I ski on a different lake maybe 2 times a year - if that. The only times I have skied on private water was when I was at a coaches lake.
Mastercraft81SnS
I ski on a public lake with a permanent course, but always run in to issues with other boaters. So I always try to ski in the AM. Only skied on the course once this year do to bad whether.
