Baller SkiJay Posted May 16, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 16, 2016 Not only does this Google Poll suggest water skiing is more popular than wakeboarding, it suggests that it's nearly twice as popular:
Baller keithh2oskier Posted May 16, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 16, 2016 who took the poll?
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted May 16, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 16, 2016 I'd guess that's a skewed statistic.
Baller_ Wish Posted May 16, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted May 16, 2016 hmmm... hard to believe that looking out at the public lakes. Wonder where tubing would fall into place.

Baller SkiJay Posted May 17, 2016 Author Baller Share Posted May 17, 2016 I stumbled across this poll logging onto Starbucks iPhone app. Apparently users can set up a poll through Google, and this was one that came up. So I suppose what these results REALLY say is that more water skiers go to Starbucks than wake boarders.
Baller keithh2oskier Posted May 17, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 17, 2016 Yeh I think the wakeboarders probably would win if it was going into a redbull or monster energy app.
Baller harddock Posted May 20, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 20, 2016 Wakeboarding gets the sponsorship, the press, TV coverage. My kids prefer water skiing. One show, one tournament but minimal wakeboarding interest!
Baller Waternut Posted May 20, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 20, 2016 I'd say my lake is probably 50/50 skiers and wakeboarders. The majority of the skiers are out during the week and the majority of the wakeboarders are out on the weekend so it works out great for me. Weekends are also tuber central which is heart breaking. On a comical side note, I got a piece of mail at the beginning of the season advertising some kind of boat maintenance that said "Would you rather wrench on your boat or be tubing?"....my first thought was...what a stupid question! Of course I'd rather be wrenching.
Baller jipster43 Posted May 21, 2016 Baller Share Posted May 21, 2016 Tubing and wakeboarding will always appear to be more popular because you can do either of them in marginal conditions. When I was a kid we bought a Skurfer so we could enjoy the washing machine conditions, but we always preferred skiing.
