Tdub
When using a RTP should the toes touch the rear of the front boot? What is the standard procedure?
paco
Maybe your rtp is a little big for you? I always keep my rtp as close to the front binding as possible and foot as far in the rtp as I can get it. Never touched the front binding before.... Do you have a way of tightening it? Baller bigskieridaho Posted August 8, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 8, 2016 I ski with a RTP and it all depends on how the setup and comfort is. My plate is up against the front boot plate. Best advice, install and ski and find where it feels the best, just have your tools handy. Same procedure for adjusting fin settings or anything. Good luck! Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted August 8, 2016 Supporting Member Share Posted August 8, 2016 The spacing is somewhat personal. But I think the starting point should be a toe or toes just barely touching the front boot if you jam forward on it a little. Then try other spacings just like any other adjustment parameter. Baller_ Wish Posted August 8, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted August 8, 2016 Same question only with Reflex. And is it normal to feel the bar from the front binding latch mechanism with big toe?
Baller Chef23 Posted August 8, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 8, 2016 I am a little back of having my toes touch the back of my front binding. That was a ski school recommendation for me though.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted August 8, 2016 Baller Share Posted August 8, 2016 all personal preference. I used to have my toes touching my front boot. Mapple told me to space them out a little to give myself a bigger platform. I am slightly more spaced now and like it, but for years my toes were scratching the back of the front binding. Tdub
Thanks to all. Very good advice. My current RTP is a D3 non-adjustable but looking to upgrade. Again, thanks to all.
