I winterized my CP yesterday draining all water and pumping in RV antifreeze including the heater core.

Does anyone do anything special to winterize the Ballast system tank on their CP?

I drained all the water I could by using empty tank button but I still see about a 1/4" of water in the bottom of tank.

Not for sure how to get the last bit of water out.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

In my Malibu there are no check valves in the overflow or discharge lines. If you poured in through the discharge line the pump would keep antifreeze from flowing easily into the tank. The overflow is just a hose from top of tank to the port on side of boat. My assumption is centurion would be similar.

Bigskieridaho I agree with you but:

I do keep the boat in my garage and if no power outages I can keep garage above freezing. But in Tenn. we occasionally get a snow/ice storm that can cause power outages for several days. I always winterize to avoid having to deal with boat if this occurs.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Oldmanskier.
