Creeker
Looking for the latest information on ZO GPS antennas (i.e., pucks). Some historical links: www.ballofspray.com. http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/di...54/bad-zo-puck http://ballofspray.vanillaforums.com...162/zo-surging Boat: 2011 CC 200 w/o catalytic converters. The two original pucks have been replaced a while back (2015) with ones from PP. One of the "new" ones was replaced again under warranty. Now another one has failed. The pucks connections have been swapped with no improvement. Questions: There seems to be a new chip set / firm ware setup for pucks. What is the latest firmware/setup? Has anyone any recent experience installing in a Garmin puck instead of a ZO puck? Did you have to splice the connection? Did the boat run OK, did you replace both pucks? What about the conversions to a single puck system (i.e., the ECI receivers) Thx.
Baller bigskieridaho Posted May 30, 2017 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2017 Both of my pucks are Garmin antennas. I thoughts that's what came factory from ZO?
Creeker
As far as I know, Garmin makes the pucks for ZO & PP. There has been statement make by some speed control companies that the Garmin pucks have been customized for their applications. Some end user have used Garmin pucks as replacement pucks without issues. Of course there have been some updates to the pucks over time. Does anyone have recent experience using the Garmin pucks?
