Enclosed boat trailer?

Here's a consideration: in most (all?) and on interstate highways, if you're over 102" (8'6") wide, you're considered a wide load and probably need a permit. Most comp boats are either 95" or 96" wide and many wake boats are right at 102", so they're just barely legal. An enclosed trailer would need to be pretty tight...

Had a bone head friend who had an enclosed trailer built for 2 bone head jet skis. It cost 15 grand and was a royal PITA to launch and recover. I helped with that bone head nonsense one time then told him it wasn't worth the extra time and hassle to have his bone head jet skis available for use so he stopped coming to my place. I'm not sure why. If he had a 2018 ProStar I'd invite him back.

Many enclosed snowmobile trailers are more difficult to load / unload when many sleds don't have reverse. Some trailers have provisions for front or rear loading / unloading. Enclosed trailers have been a trend over many decades for a variety of vehicles.
