I think the gators have laid claim to all of the good lakes down there. My brother moved down there about 2 years ago and put up post looking for ski lakes and the best he found were about 40 minutes away, Lake Alto and Lake Santa Fe were supposed to be pretty decent. They held tournaments there and the college ski team trained there along with rowing crews. Been a lonoooong time since I did tournaments there so not sure it's still used.
