Baller OldGuysRule Posted August 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted August 9, 2018 New Radar Lithium just arrived. I went to install my Wiley bindings and the hole pattern doesn't match/line up by a long shot. What did I do wrong? I left e-mail messages at both Wileys and Radar. Baller BraceMaker Posted August 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted August 9, 2018 Front or back boot? Fronts have been universal for awhile, but rears usually aren't universal unless you bought the universal plates. Does the front horseshoe have the cutouts https://www.wileyski.com/product/front-horseshoe-hrdwe-wcutouts/ I've modified wileys plates before, typically I take a sheet of plain paper, place it on the ski where the front binding should sit and rub the inserts and edges of the ski with my finger till I can see where they belong on the paper, then I set the boot on the paper carefully and measure the DFT, hold them both together and flip it over, use a transfer punch or sharp nail to mark the hole locations into the base foam, then I usually used a drill press from below to pop the holes I needed. Rear usually the same but I've had better luck just drilling slightly oversized holes and using washers instead of trying to make slots for rotation. Baller skialex Posted August 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted August 9, 2018 What @BraceMaker said Front can be modified if it’s not on a universal plate, rear is so different that there is no way to use on modern skis unless it’s on a universal plate.
