Smelly gloves

I was in a hurry the other day and forgot to pull my gloves out of the step box in the Nautique after my last set. 4 days later I pull them out and holy moses. I skied with them this morning but man I’m not sure I’ll ever wash the funk out of my hands now.

 

Anyone have any secrets to getting the funk out of a pair of gloves once you have failed at the preventative measures?

 

They are in way too good a shape still to just replace them.

Atsko sport wash for all your funk ridden performance fabric material items.

Put them in a plastic zip lock bag and put in your freezer. The cold will kill the bacteria.

 

Did this with soccer gear from the kids.

I wash my wetsuite, neopren gear a few times per season. Just regular washing powder in the bath tub.

I also rinse the wetsuite in the sea water after reach use.

Keeps them resonable ok.

Gets the funk out of hockey pads but also.My neoprene shorts .

A little rinse with a mild bleach solution should be fine. 1 part to 10 or so. I just did that with my gloves, we'll see how long it lasts.

Bleach works great to kill the smell but my gloves didn't hold up very well after that.

My wife use lysol laundry sanitizer for my stinky stuff - no bleach so appears to be a gentle product. Ever forget your clothes in the washer for a few days - should be same smell these gloves have and this stuff cleans it up well.

A long soak in water&detergent with a a tablespoon of lemon Ammonia i found effective.

Then out in the sun for some UV for insurance
