Thermostat Replacement

Need to replace my thermostat on my 2010 response lxi with monsoon 350. Typically always use marine parts but not sure the difference on a thermostat. I can get a local auto part, order an aftermarket sierra marine brand, or order an indmar part. Any experience? Any difference between them assuming all 160 degree setting?

I'm my experience, there's almost always obvious physical differences between OEM and aftermarket thermostats. Not worth saving a couple bucks in my opinion.

I've used auto thermostats to get a higher water temp for use in my heater. Lasted about the same as marine.

I haven't had issues with the longevity of aftermarket thermostats. What I have noticed is that they don't open as quickly, don't open as early or too early, or don't allow the same flow rate. Again, just my experience with them compared to OEM. An engine costs too much.
