Dxii145
The trailer for our show-ski team's '00 Moomba Boomerang rusted out and broke this week. Anybody know of a boomerang that is being parted-out or another good solution for a trailer?
Baller BraceMaker Posted July 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 19, 2019 I would strongly advocate going for an aluminum or galvanized inboard trailer with adjustable bunks. If you rotted out a trailer you will again - and these are basically lifetime if you do them right.
Dxii145
Where do you find them for an inboard?
Baller nam1975 Posted July 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 19, 2019 X2 in the aluminum and galvanized. I bought a load rite. Dealers everywhere. Only 2-3 weeks out.
Baller BraceMaker Posted July 19, 2019 Baller Share Posted July 19, 2019 Around me I have a few dealers for load-rite, EZ loader etc. My boat is a galvanized trailer. Either will last a long time, aluminum can be "too light" if you spend any real time towing it empty they can be really bouncy. I say this because if you're keeping the boat these will last, and if the boat gets replaced you can adjust it to the new one. Where if you somehow source another circa 2000 moomba steel trailer its going to rust out soon enough anyhow. And if your show ski team trailers the boat to shows, or has to trailer in and out daily for practice you're going to rot anything that isn't rust proof.
