Baller Cooper_Trelawney Posted September 16, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 16, 2019 3 friends on the lake competing with and razzing one another. Just happens to be 3 of the best skiers of that era. Awesome. Also hand driving a brendella? Looks like good times!

Baller 6balls Posted September 16, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 16, 2019 epic. love the sound of that old boat, too...nostalgia!
Baller whitem71 Posted September 16, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 16, 2019 What a fantastic slalom skier Carl Roberge was, beautifully smooth especially his offside. Although the technology of our modern skis would definitely have made a difference and would I reckon have taken him deep into 41 maybe into 43, I can't help wondering if ZO would have been a hinderance. He was a big dude and it seems to me he was slowing the boat down so I wonder what the course times actually were...
Baller whitem71 Posted September 16, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 16, 2019 ..and I wonder if that slalom wetsuit that loads of people used in the 80's helped too?
Baller Jetsetr Posted September 17, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 17, 2019 I get to hear that same sound every time I ski behind my Brendella...
Baller motoskier Posted September 17, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 17, 2019 It was easier back then because the boat wakes were better
Baller 6balls Posted September 17, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 17, 2019 @motoskier I remember good wakes...but wow the spray! I skied a 1987 MC a lot up until 2010 occasionally thru 38 off into 39 at 34 mph...rugged. I remember an instructional video by Bob LaPoint where a camera boat ran in front of the ski boat, thus a double wake and I think Bob still ran 38 off at 36 mph.
