Taking my first long look at the data

I think it will take 4 @ 38 to get into the head to head and 4 at 39 to be in the top 8.

There are 7 skiers with averages into 41 off.

@AdamCord let's use my score as an example (99.0) So if I get it right, and run 5 at -38 (101.0) in round 1, and hit my average of 99.0 (3 @ -38) in the second round, that would give me a +2.0 and a 0.0 when compared to my 12 month average, so then add those values, and divide by the # of rounds (2) then that makes my score a +1.0 overall. Compare everyone's delta averages after the 2 rounds, and that sets the top 16 ?

Everyone skis 2x on Saturday to qualify for 1 of 2 Finals on Sunday.

Final 1 is a 16 person knock out bracket where speed is irrelevant and we compete on rope length and buoy count. This year looks fun and competitive, as always.

Seeding for the 16 person Bracket:

- Skiers with the 8 highest scores from prelims will take seeds 1 through 8

- Skiers with the highest combined scores from rounds 1 and 2 (but not one of the 8 highest scores) will take seeds 9 through 16

Final 2 is for the rest of the skiers that are not in Final 1. They will all ski one more round and whoever skis the highest over their average wins.

More important than all the skiing, is all the social fun stuff before, during and after the event. I am looking forward to it!

@jimski we starting at 8 SHARP even if the chief judge is not awake yet.

You need to go 10 minutes for food. Bell Acqua is awesome but once you are outside the gates you sort of need to lock your car doors and drive fast. There is a sketchy gas station/ liquor store close by but that is about it.

It's cloudy, windy, and cold here today. Suppose to be even cooler tomorrow.

@Horton - Can we move the tournament to somewhere in Hawaii this weekend? It's suppose to be mid eighties and light winds all weekend there. You can get Smart to fly all of us form Rio Linda airport right next to the lakes to Hawaii. You should have enough $$ from the tournament fees to cover that.
