Baller mlange Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 Starting to look around and am trying to compile a list of the differences in the 200's. Here's what I've come up with so far: 2011 Some cats, Saddle bag hinges 2012 All cats, New keypad, LINC 2.0 2013 New steering wheel, new throttle control 2014 Stiff shifting, some shift by wire 2015 All shift by wire 2016 DI engines, driver's seat change, single puck ZO 2017 2018 2019 Bryant 200 I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff. Steering wheel, stereo, etc... I will update the list in this post as I see items added to the thread.

Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted September 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted September 26, 2019 Lots of ECM programming changes as well as propeller specifications over those years.
Baller tru-jack Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 propeller changes seem to be significant. our 2011 team 200 with 5.7 spins about 4300 rpms at 34mph. I think it was propped to pass jump at the boat tests with the 5.7. would like to change prop to reduce rpm. only used for slalom at 34mph. open to prop suggestions. thanks
Baller Not_The_Pug Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 @tru-jack The prop you want for Slalom only is a 654. I have one I'm willing to sell. PM if interested.

Baller mlange Posted September 26, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 Looking through brochures isn't real valuable. For example, it doesn't speak to changes like the hinges on the saddle bags. It doesn't say that shifting is now by wire vs. mechanical. I'm also not overly concerned w/ props. That's an easy "fix". What I'm interested in is things I should consider if I want to target (or steer away from) a specific year. I may want to go 2012+ because I like the new keypad more. I may want to go 2014+ because I really want shift-by-wire. Stuff like that is what I'm after.
Baller jhughes Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 2016 had some big updates. - First year for available Direct Injection L83/L86 all aluminum, variable valve timing 5.3L and 6.2L power plants, first for the industry I believe - Redesigned driver's seat - Single-Puck ZO I think there was a Vinyl/Interior design update in 2014. Baller PatM Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 I think there was some vinyl issues in the 16. I know all the 14s I drove had a weird thing going with the shift lever.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted September 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted September 26, 2019 I think gloersen is correct on the shift by wire year. I also think 2014 model year was unique and prior years were not as bad. It may not seem like a big deal if you are use to the 2014, but after driving my 2015, then a 2014 that old style would drive me nuts. It almost felt like I needed both hands to shift in and out of gear. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller BlueSki Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 2013 had the same throttle as 2014.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted September 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted September 26, 2019 There are a number of 14s running around with electric shift.. I know cause I had one and converted another. Along with the ski school units that are now in the field.
Baller mlange Posted September 26, 2019 Author Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 Jody, I would have thought that shift-by-wire and the new throttle control went hand-in-hand. Am I missing something there?
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted September 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted September 26, 2019 They did! Just saying dont be surprised to find some14s out there with electronic shift and livorsi control.

Baller dbutcher Posted September 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2019 If memory serves me, 2011's did not have cats. Cats weren't required until 1-1-12. A few early 2012's did not have cats. Remember I said IF memory serves me.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted September 26, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted September 26, 2019 Cats were available in 2009. They weren't mandated for commercial sale In the US till 2011. I have a 196 6 liter with catalyst exhaust.
