kk2ski
Anyone know how to add a pylon loop to the shock tube. The loop that comes on it rips off very easily. It seems the neck of the shock tube is too small for the rope loops to fix through without forcing and then rips the loop off the shock tube. I have seen some kind of add-on at a tournament, but not sure what was actually done. Tried re-sewing and doesn't last very long. Sent one back to Masterline already and the replacement one has done the same thing.

kk2ski
For hooking the shock tube to the pylon? How does that work?
Baller dbutcher Posted October 1, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2019 High quality duct tape - inside and outside the tube.
Baller BraceMaker Posted October 1, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2019 Melt a hole through - hit a nail with a torch and push through then tie a loop of Paracord through the loop.
Baller HMan66 Posted October 1, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2019 @kk2ski the loop for the shock tube wraps around the pylon under the swivel for the rope.
Baller MDB1056 Posted October 1, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2019 Guess I've been lucky. My 3 ft Masterline shock tube has held up fine for about 3 years now, and gets moved around a lot with changing rope lengths 5-6 days a week. Original velcro still working ok. Baller_ Wish Posted October 1, 2019 Baller_ Share Posted October 1, 2019 Spend less and get a better shock tube. Honesty do not remember how long it's been since I got the last one. Years I guess. Got tired reparing ML. This one has a huge opening (large tube) and because of the materials used, it does not tare, does not seem to fade, and does not get bendy/floppy over time. Seems like new yrs later. Oh..and I don't know of a shock tube that comes in that many colors to match a boat. https://beyondthewake.com/rope-shock-tube.php

Baller LOTW Posted October 1, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 1, 2019 I've got an ancient one from H2Ozmosis, probably 15 years old and still run'n strong!
Baller A_B Posted October 4, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2019 I use the velcro strap from new ropes and go around the pylon below the rope hookup and lock in the tube connector to the pylon below where the rope attaches so it gets it out of the way and opens up the end better for the loops to pass through. It has enough material to swing out in both directions and seems to decrease wear and tear as well.
Baller mfjaegersr Posted October 4, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2019 Great option, @Wish. With the added bonus that Beyond The Wake doesn’t sponsor a certain documented douchebag the way ML does!
Baller aupatking Posted October 6, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2019 As much as I like Masterline, Radar knocked this one out of the park. I don’t know what I would do to improve it.
Baller ALPJr Posted October 6, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 6, 2019 Intow sells a nice cover. Just put it over your foam tube.
Baller lhoover Posted October 15, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 15, 2019 Anybody able to rattle the cages at Beyond The Wake? Placed an Oct 5 order with them, thanks to this thread, and have not heard a word since. They sure took my PayPal money, but no response to my email and no human answering their phone. As for a return phone call from the last 2 days, left on their machine? Nothing. Zero. Nada. What gives?
Baller TEL Posted October 16, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 16, 2019 @lhoover When I ordered one earlier this year had same problem. Then one day about 3 weeks after ordering it showed up
