Thank you Marcus for distinguishing the differences between these 3 skis. It's been quite confusing up until now on which one to try. Always been an HO fan going from the HO VTR in 1998, to A1, A3, V-Type, to now the most recent VTX. Which of those 3 skis you review compare to the VTX?

@mcskier41 the newest iteration of the VTX was quite different from anything else we have done since. If you like it and you are skiing at 34mph (or even 32mph), I'd go for Alpha. One of the things I loved about the VTX was the tail smearing at the onset of the offside turn, and I find that the Alpha replicates that the best. Also, Alpha tends to ride light on the front of the ski at apex, so Alpha might be a better solution. That said, I'd also give the Omega a go if you can. Very different from anything we have done recently.
