Baller vtmecheng Posted April 10, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2020 @savaiusini it looks like the Syndicate version of the Omni has changed a bit. The top now looks to be flat from the front of the front binding back, instead of having the cut-outs running down each side. Am I seeing this correctly? If so, what all was changed and how do they change how the ski rides?
Baller BraceMaker Posted April 10, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2020 Flat top would be great. Biggest struggle in omni is binding placement
Baller vtmecheng Posted April 10, 2020 Author Baller Share Posted April 10, 2020 @BraceMaker I agree but only because we are using the MOB front release system. If I used a traditional front binding, it wouldn't be a problem.

Baller savaiusini Posted April 10, 2020 Baller Share Posted April 10, 2020 @vtmecheng Yes, we actually changed to a flat top mid-2019. Running surface remains the same. Flat top makes the ski a little more torsionally stiff and gives the ski a bit more top end acceleration off the buoy which is something we like in a Syndicate-level ski. And yes, the flat top also makes the ski a little more compatible with a wider assortment of binding systems.
