Bad First Run

Unfortunately, first barefoot run of the season and hit a piece of wood in the water. Luckily was wearing barefoot shoes but injured my knee. Got in the boat and the knee hyperextended - damn did that hurt! To complicate matters, a clot formed behind the knee the next day. MRI showed a complete tear of the ACL and tear of both meniscus. Repair surgery scheduled about a week from now. Going to be long summer :(

Well, been back skiing since May (one year after injury) and although don't think the knee will ever get completely back to where it was at age 55, it does not bother me on the slalom ski. Now, not sure that I can get the courage back up to start barefooting again. What about others on the forum - anyone barefooting after an ACL repair?
