Trick hard shell stiffness

I asked this question in another thread but it didn't get a whole lot of play so I'm asking again.... my current trick hard shell cuff moves forwards and backwards quite freely. Do any of you trickers have a strong opinion about how much resistance there should be on your ankle cuff?

I'm using The Syndicate shell or a white cuff Reflex. Both are very loose in forward movement.

@Martin any suggestions on stiffening up the shell? I thought about changing liners but that seems like a crapshoot.

@horton liners can make a huge difference. Thivk intuition liner. Adding 4th buckle makes a big difference too. I could never trick in reflex for that reason. Preferred FM for tricks which is much stiffer. Adding a plastic tongue should help too like @lpskier says.

Yellow shell cuff and shell cut low front tabs cut back and lowered rear V notch hole bigger and lower. Cuff pinned forwards. Single buckle. Black shell twin straps V notch full front tabs full coverage dual buckle full cuff. The Denali liner is much firmer than the protour liner and IMO forms better.
