  1. @Adam Caldwell This is really interesting and amazing you can get similar results with drastically different numbers. You guys seem to have figured something out as all I’m hearing and reading is positive on the C95. Just curious are your length measurements using tips or jaws? NEVERMIND. I looked on your website and found the answer
  2. @Horton D3 NRG R3 could probably also add the KD Platinum? It’s on the website…
  3. Congratulations on the new position @MarcusBrown! I’m shocked it’s taken this long for you to get the position but you’ve anbsolut earned it. I would have sent you a message by phone but somehow lost your number 😕
  4. @Horton I see. The wording had me questing the meaning. I know the masters qualifying system is not the most popular especially for the individuals participating in it. However I think it’s pretty fun, admittedly because Vennesa has benefited from it. I do wish they would webcast the events and give cash prize for them because the level of skiing at the qualifiers has been insanely high at least 2 of the 3 years they’ve had them… I paid less attention to it last year with V having a recovering knee. I’m sure that’s a topic for a different thread though. The achievements of the athletes listed above are absolutely mind boggling.
  5. @Horton I’d still argue masters is hardest to qualify for even with the change in the way one goes about qualifying. Both of the other events have athletes that don’t run 38 off for men and 32 for women
  6. Going to be reeeeaaaaalllllllyyyy hard
  7. I’d say with automated driving it will not be run. If you want to argue that the driving will be more consistent be my guest. But before you continue with that line of thinking, stake it out on the beach. place a buoy 11.5 meters from a pole on the beach and then grab a rope/handle and look at the reality of 9.75m (43). once you’ve done that, come back to this thread and give me your answer. but I will say there is proof Nate can get around 3 with a boat that is in tolerance. He did it a few years ago in a class c that was running sure path. very big difference between “in tolerance” (going to the max allowed) and “straight” (zeros or +1 on SP) which is what automated driving would be.
  8. Also, Mastercraft Pro Regina placed 3rd. Whitney and Jaimee Tied with 1 @ 41 and Jaimee won the runoff
  9. I’m not going to argue with Adam as it’s perfectly logical the more stretch a rope has the more rebound it will have. but I will point out that the rope that hung me today was the stiffest rope I have ever skied. There is no perfect solution, just like there is no safest binding that will never get your ankle, but that’s a whole different thread.
  10. I drive a boat coaching skiers for a living. This is the first time in over 10 years I have been wrapped with a rope. I normally have a hat on, and do believe had I been wearing one this would not have happened. Despite my initial reaction of leaning forward, the rope still made it over my head but just barely. Had I not leaned forward it would have certainly wrapped my neck instead of my eye/forehead. This past winter Chet was pulling a different skier and the rope made it around his neck. It’s obviously a hazard of the sport. There are a few skiers who I will never pull without a shock tube and the list grew by 1 skier today. I should have paid attention to the warning signs (rope coiling up against my back) when this individual skied, but I didn’t. Lesson learned on my part. I don’t know if any driver has lost their life to a rope around the neck in the sport of waterskiing but you could see how it is possible (“freak” accidents happen). If you are a skier who has the strength to pop a handle with enough force to wrap the driver or passenger for that matter, please use a shock tube. It would be a shame for someone to end up seriously injured, and had it been one of my kids I can see how that could easily be the case. But the face will heal, nobody was really hurt, I learned a lesson and I can’t wait to get back in the boat and drive some more!
  11. The judges had a camera mounted on the pylon via ski doc that they were using to make calls. They also have the camera man in the boat which is what the webcast was watching. You could tell the officials knew the weight of the decision that was being made, and to the best of their ability made the call they felt was correct.
  12. I’m surprised Regina hasn’t been thrown into the conversation. Obviously an extremely accomplished slalom skier (9 world records?), 8x masters slalom champion, but how many world titles to her name in slalom and overall? Too much to keep track of for me.
  13. After some back and forth with Casey this morning, Tate has conceded the bracket and Casey is skiing today. So in the end, all is right, but had the picture/video not existed, the call would have stood.
