PRP for Achilles tendon

Thinking about having PRP for a recent Achilles tendon rupture would love to hear some pros and cons thank you

Pros - some people swear by it.

 

Cons - Physicians who practice evidence based medicine don't use it in their practice as it is roughly an expensive placebo - not that placebo effect isn't real or doesn't change the outcome (studies also show that surgery has a huge placebo effect as well - basically even a "sham" surgery often has great outcomes).

Hurts worse than the injury your trying to make feel better! Plus the down time post procedure..... not my favorite thing I’ve had done
