Baller cacman Posted March 23, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 23, 2021 I have a 2007 Nautique PCM Magnum330 Runs rough first set or so. Sounds like missing out. Any thoughts?
Baller buechsr Posted March 23, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 23, 2021 how long have you owned it? old gas? I'd start with fuel filters and cap and rotor.
Baller thager Posted March 23, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 23, 2021 Check the distributer cap. Last year my 02 196 was running like it had bad gas. Rotor contact had worn a hole through the cap contact.

Baller aupatking Posted March 24, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 24, 2021 Same as everyone here has said, distributor cap and rotor. I run the same boat/engine and that’s been the solution twice now with the problem you described. Worst case, it’s a needed maintenance item anyway that is only a 5 minute change
Baller cacman Posted March 24, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted March 24, 2021 Thanks really appreciate the help. Anyone know the part numbers?
Baller aupatking Posted March 24, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 24, 2021 Cap RA108009, Rotor RA 103011. Those are both PCM item numbers. You may need to cross reference them.
Baller_ DW Posted March 24, 2021 Baller_ Share Posted March 24, 2021 In addition to the cap/rotor, when was last spark plug change done? Ignition coil is also a potential if the cap/rotor does not solve issue although coil issues are more typically exasperated at elevated temperatures. Baller cacman Posted March 25, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted March 25, 2021 Above the distributor cap is a black square. Looks like fuse box. Does this need to be removed to install new cap?
Baller thager Posted March 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 25, 2021 4 bolts, will give you room to work.
Baller James Posted March 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 25, 2021 The box “fuse box” you are describing is most likely the Relay/Fuse block. Yes, you have to remove it to get to the distributor cap. If you are interested in pictures of what you are looking at go to PlanetNautique.com and click on “manuals/brochures”. Scroll down to 2007 PCM parts manual. Page 38 of the manual shows the “fuse box”.
Baller cacman Posted March 29, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted March 29, 2021 Installed new cap and rotor. Ran nearly perfect, but the plastic tab that the distributor cap screws into is all but gone. Not sure if that was the main problem and soon new cap will have issues or if that allowed condensation or shifting of cap. Any one have a thought on how to fix other than new distributor? Baller thager Posted March 29, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 29, 2021 I believe there is a kit to fix that. Skidim maybe?
