Baller tbarile Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 My camaro blactec heater shirt just blew the arm weld out (haven't received a call back from their CS department yet) so I'm looking for something new. I hate peeling these shirts off as I have a bad shoulder. Are there any good shirts that zip? Also, what is a good replacement for the camaro? thanks
Baller LeonL Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 I've been pretty happy with my O'Neill "Hammer". I've had it for a couple of years, so I don't know if that model is still available. It's a good bit thicker (and more durable) than a Camaro. Baller keithh2oskier Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 I got one of these earlier this year and it is super comfortable and really warm. But I feel like I am going to dislocate my shoulder if I take it off by myself.

Baller tjm Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 Look into the Oneill Reactor 1.5mil front zip jacket
Baller UWSkier Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 I have two O'Neill Hyperfreak tops. I tend to do two sets on a typical morning. Two tops ensures I'm always putting on a dry one. They're awesome.
Baller_ MISkier Posted July 12, 2021 Baller_ Share Posted July 12, 2021 @keithh2oskier, I had the older version of that hyperfreak top and it had some sort of lining on the inside that was like a blue felt. What does this new version have on the inside? Pics would be helpful, too. The original had short of a smooth, shiny torso that was a great insulator and stretchy sleeves. I wore mine constantly (and still have them), but the back of the shoulders started to split and expose that inner liner. They lost a little of their warmth there after that. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller tbarile Posted July 12, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 MarkTimm - Have you used that jacket? Looks interesting
Baller keithh2oskier Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 @MISkier the inside and outside appears to be the same.
Baller wawaskr Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 I also use an Oneill Hyperfreak 1.5mm neo top (Technobutter neo - 20% lighter, 30% less water absorption than any other neoprene). Their Reactor's are regular neo (heavier/does not stretch as much). Thing is - you can not get one of these right now unless you are a size Small. Covid19 supplier shortages I guess? Baller tjm Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 You can find the reactor jacket in S M or L at Swimoutlet.com, Maybe some of the others too,
Baller Zman Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 Just a suggestion for making heater shirts much easier to get out of - wear a snug fitting short sleeve rash guard underneath. Works really well.
Baller MarkTimm Posted July 12, 2021 Baller Share Posted July 12, 2021 @tbarile yes, I am on my third season with a Matuse top. It is warm, flexible and durable. I destroyed a couple of camaro tops then swtiched to Matuse and will never go back.
