Having major problems with new Z Box install.

Just installed Z Box. Module, software upgrade, and even a new puck. System will not show GPS speed which renders system useless. Seems like it is not receiving GPS signal. If I bypass Z-Box, all is well. I contacted PP and as we all know, they are great but no answers as of yet. Anyone else having this issue?

Just double check u have it hooked up right.

 

If your working okay with standard stargazer then it's not an issue with the puck

Just spoke with the good folks at Perfect Pass. My main module may be too old. 2004 SN.

But, I have a friend who has a 2001 and Z Box works great. Confused.

@makeall6 this comes up a lot. my 94 prostar has a module from 2011 that was updated to software 9.12 a buddy has a 2003 197 that has a single line PP display that was sold to him in the 1990s and was in his 1986 before he changed boats.

@makeall6 I thought the whole master module had to be updated for stargazer so your buddy with an 01 wouldn't have the original PP.

 

I think there was an issue with the very early SG modules not having enough power. PP should be able to tell by the serial number.
