  1. Thanks to all. One more question. I seem to have voltage leak in the system somewhere. In northern Ohio, ski days can be few this time of year so the boat may sit idle for a week. I always turn off the main switch but still the battery goes dead. How can that be if that switch is turned off? Been fighting this problem for years. I know the easy solution is to just disconnect the battery but I really would like to figure this out. Thanks.
  2. This happens every 3 or 4 years. Any recommendations for battery choice for a 2004 S/N? The battery well is very shallow so only a few will work. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for the info. It is a 2004 SN. I did have a new radio installed a couple years back so I am inclined to think that is the problem. But why would the dash go dark if I remove that red wire if it is just powering the new radio? Thanks. Tom
  4. So, this has been going on all summer. If I leave the boat sit for over a week, battery is drained. But, the master switch is off. I thought I found the problem but no. There is a black wire from the negative side of the battery that has a fuse in it. Took out the fuse and the amp for the radio did not work. So…not the problem. Battery still drained. There is also a red wire from the battery but when I took the fuse out of that, no dashboard. By the way, the battery is only two years old. When I charge the battery all is good, starts every time unless sitting for multiple days with the MASTER SWITCH OFF. What is going on? Cheers. Tom
  5. My F-150 was jus totaled by a weather event. I Trailer my 2004 SN Limited on a Ramlin trailer a short distance to our lake. The new Broncos are interesting, would one of the more larger Broncos pull the boat OK? Cheers. Tom
  6. Thanks to all. Dex/merc it is.
  7. I apologize for asking a question that has been asked many times. I have a 2004 with the Excalibur engine. I know that the type of transmission fluid that is sold has changed over the years, so what type should I purchase? It is time to change it. Thanks!
  8. Thanks so much. Perfect answers and pix. Cheers. Tom
  9. I just fired up my 2004 SN and noticed a small leak around the Perko Flush pro. It sure would be cheaper to just add a male to male connector. I really only use the Flush Pro once a year. It is handy but a new one is over $100. Saving money this year. Cheers. Tom
  10. Thanks to all. This site is always full of great info.
  11. I need to replace the knock sensor on my 2004 S/N. Every fall I take it out to drain the block and every year I say I need to replace it. It is looking very worn. When I replace it, do I need to make any changes in the computer system? On a side note, this boat has been spectacular. 950 hours and very few issues. I change the oil every 30 hours, impeller every two, and tranny oil every two. Happy skiing from northern Ohio. Thanks, Tom
  12. Just curious. When does Radar offer the 2023 Senate skis? Alloy in particular. Thanks. Tom
  13. Thanks to all. I only tow a short distance to our lake. I have all of the tires at 40 psi. Things should be fine now.
  14. Thanks to all. Great info as always. Cheers.
  15. I have a 2004 S/N on a Ramlin tandem trailer and just had a massive blowout on one of the front tires. Kapow! Even damaged the fender. New tire today and I noticed the guy at the tire store only inflated the tire to 20PSI. The label on the trailer says max of 35PSI. What is the best pressure to inflate? Thanks.
  16. Thanks to all. Yes I do have PP Stargazer Z-Box. I forgot that you can check voltages in PP. Season is over so I guess I will deal with it next spring, however I hate putting it away knowing something is not right. I will check for loose wires first, then maybe a new gauge. Again...Thanks to all. Cheers. Tom
  17. They all zero out except the voltmeter. No movement at all. Just got back from the Pond and pulled the buoys and all seemed OK. No voltmeter. Another oddity. Temp gauge only got to 140. Could be the cold water but shouldn't heat 160 even if the water is cold. Guages just seemed weird today. Sorry for the ignorance, what is the fair gateway?
  18. So, put the battery charger on the 2004 SN a couple nights ago since we were planning on pulling the course today. Kept the charger on two days. Hooked the trailer to the truck, turned the ignition on just to make sure the battery had enough juice. Voltmeter registered 0. Could be trouble. Put a garden hose to her and it started right away. Voltmeter still at 0. Do voltmeters just stop working all of a sudden? Charging the battery over two days should not cause a problem should it? Never has before. Time for a new Voltmeter? Hard to install? On another note. I am glad I have two sons to go into the water to snag the buoys. Been pretty cold lately in Northern Ohio. Cheers. Tom
  19. Switched from 67 Lithium a few years back to a 69 Graphite. I gained a few pounds because of medication. I did not like the 69 inch Graphite at all. Back to a 2021 67 inch Lithium and feels good to be back on that ski. But...I am really breaking at the waist this year.(more than ever) Any tips on binding placement, fin adjustment, or wing removal. Any tip will be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  20. Just installed Z Box and all seems good.Times are dead on. 204 SN. I am 71 and looking for the most forgiving pull, thoughts? Also, should I mess with crew weight? Most people say set it and leave it. True? Thanks to all. Cheers. Tom
  21. Just spoke with the good folks at Perfect Pass. My main module may be too old. 2004 SN. But, I have a friend who has a 2001 and Z Box works great. Confused.
  22. Just installed Z Box. Module, software upgrade, and even a new puck. System will not show GPS speed which renders system useless. Seems like it is not receiving GPS signal. If I bypass Z-Box, all is well. I contacted PP and as we all know, they are great but no answers as of yet. Anyone else having this issue? Cheers. Tom
  23. I use all of Babe's products, great stuff but I need something with a bit more "oomf" to get my white seats in my 2004 SN looking better. Thoughts?
  24. Thanks all. Another question, how do you access current baselines on ver. 9.2?
