Guest
Hey all, I have a 2015 Malibu TXI response. While skiing around 34 mph my boat powers down and throws a service required sign. The motor doesn’t die all the way. I turn off batteries and then back on and it’ll go for awhile 5 min and then power down again! Any thoughts? Baller Wayne Posted October 3, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2021 Can you navigate through the electronic dash settings and find what fault codes are being set? This feature has been in place for a while and will narrow things down a lot.
Durango
Yah, I’m a bit computer handicapped! I’ll grab my son and look for a code. Thank you
Baller Zman Posted October 3, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2021 @Durango Like @Wayne said, you can narrow things down a good bit by looking up the code(s) that were thrown. On the screen, click to "Service", then "Fault Codes", then review any Active or Inactive codes that are noted on the next screens. You will probably see your codes under "Inactive". Then, report back to see if anyone has any ideas that might help/
Baller Zman Posted October 3, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2021 It could be any of a number of things. But, I'm taking a guess you might see SPN 636, FMI 2.

Baller Zman Posted October 4, 2021 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2021 @Durango As a side note (since your home is Durango), I flew into Durango 3 years ago to ski a week at Wolf Creek. Had a great time, and some incredible powder. May be coming back this winter. Have a ski bum buddy who spends winters in Pagosa Springs.
Durango
Hit me up for sure. I’ve been here 33 years. Ski wolf quite a bit. 970-759-0349 Brian
