Possible M8 National Slalom Record tie

Current indications are that Dan Wamhoff has tied the Men's 8 National Slalom Record of 2.5@-39 (32 mph) today during the Michigan 3 Event State Championship. More info will probably emerge as the certification occurs.

 

Coincidentally, Dan was inducted into the Michigan Water Ski Hall of Fame at the conclusion of the Slalom event at that tournament.

If approved, Dan would share that record with Steve Raphael who unfortunately has passed away.

That's one (another) nice thing about SurePath. I pulled Phillipa Sched's Women 6 record (4@38) a couple of weeks ago at Palm Bay, FL and I knew instantly that if the rope measured good and the course numbers were good, she had the record since my SurePath numbers were good. Sure beats waiting 1 to 6 weeks to see if the record is approved...
