Guest
I need some help choosing a ski, as I am returning to the sport I miss and love. I've been skiing around 50 years and learned on a Lance flat bottom wood ski, then a Connelly Hook, then a Jobe Professional 69" and lastly a Jobe Edge 67". I am sure no one remembers any of those skis but I need a new ski. I'm 6'4 and around 250# and just open water ski, no buoys, but I can ski pretty good. I don't want double fixed bindings, flexible budget and I was about 200# when skiing on the Edge 67''. Please help
Baller Mastercrafter Posted August 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2022 Radar Senate 71", or HO Omni (69", 71" ?) Welcome back to the best sport :)
Baller jjackkrash Posted August 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2022 @250 lbs. you might get away with a 69" Senate (especially if you plan on cutting weight), but 71" is probably safer in the short run. Look at Radar Vector front binding with RTP.
Baller UWSkier Posted August 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2022 I'm your size and ski on a 69" Senate Pro at 34 MPH. I had a 71 before which I really liked. If I only ever skied open water, I'd have kept the 71.
Baller ALPJr Posted August 2, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 2, 2022 I’d suggest a call with Performance Ski and Surf @perfski - to talk about your skiing style and see what they can do for you.
