Baller Stevie Boy Posted August 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2022 Hello Good people, anybody else having issues with the trim tab keep moving on their OB 200, I belong to two different clubs, both have same issue with their boats, one lake has the island and one is pretty much straight lines with minimum manoeuvring. Shame there wasn't serations on the back of the tab, looking for some ideas to keep it in place, Previous CB 200 we didn't have this problem. We had a idea but it is not possible through design. Baller jpwhit Posted August 25, 2022 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2022 You can tighten the pivot bolts on the tab itself to create some friction, that keeps it from moving on it's own.
Baller_ Jody_Seal Posted August 25, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted August 25, 2022 there should be star washers under the heads of #10 fasteners. do not put thred lock on them. use antiseize on the threds. they can break off and can be a pain to remove. I have also seen fasteners bottom out in the rudder and not be able to tighten..
