Baller_ swbca Posted September 12, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted September 12, 2022 The bow section of our ProStar 197 has its canvas cover snapped on for the entire ski season , but some moisture gets in there causing mildew spots. I bought one expensive boat upholster cleaner that was no better than plain water. I have seen an effective cleaner used by a friend for years on his Malibu without damaging the vinyl, but he doesn't remember what its called and the boat isn't nearby. Baller_ MISkier Posted September 12, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted September 12, 2022 Try a little baking soda mixed with water into a smooth paste. Scrub with a soft cloth and rinse. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.

Baller ReallyGottaSki Posted September 12, 2022 Baller Share Posted September 12, 2022 Not on the vinyl, it makes microabrasions that give mold an even better grip to grow in.after you address the mold apply 303 to seal out the yuck

Baller_ Wish Posted September 13, 2022 Baller_ Share Posted September 13, 2022 Caution: Totally Awesome from dollar store is a solvent and IS harsh. It will clean the shit out vinyl but you have to have lots of water and towels at the ready. I only use it as a last resort on really bad seats if nothing else works. Condition after for sure.
