Baller Jaypro Posted February 21, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2023 Hey Ballers, do any of you know this boat? I'm hoping to purchase the boat soon. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=65885 SIA65885
Baller rico Posted February 21, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 21, 2023 @Jaypro looks really nice. Boat price is so crazy though. It is going down but not fast enough. If you are happy with PP it's okay. I know someone in California bought a 2007 for much cheaper and had a 6.0l PCM put in with ZO for a total about the same or less. This one in Florida is an 09 https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=65792 So I would think you have some negotiating room
Baller Jaypro Posted February 22, 2023 Author Baller Share Posted February 22, 2023 @rico I saw that one. I'm skiing down there in a few weeks, and was thinking of checking it out.
Baller 6balls Posted February 22, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 22, 2023 Looks nice, may be an easy ZO conversion if it's got the 343 I don't see motor mentioned in the ad. @thagerknows the scoop on how to do this plug and play he did it on his 2002. Wicked low hours I'd be all over that one. I sold my 2000 w/PP for 21K but GT40 no ability to go ZO. Great hull would consider it strongly. Baller motoxr Posted February 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2023 Any updates on the new boat purchase? Always such an exciting time! Keep us posted and good luck!
Baller dbutcher Posted February 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2023 The Ski It Again ad says 5.7 L (350 cid) engine with 330 HP. The PCM 343 uses the same block so it may very well be that this engine is compatible with Zero Off. It sure would be worth inquiring.
Baller david_ski Posted February 27, 2023 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Seems a little high for a PP boat even with the low hours in todays market. If it had the ZO conversion, then the price feels like it is in the right ballpark. It does have low hours, but just 386 hours (~19 hrs/year). When I bought my 2003 196 back in 2016, it had 1300 hours (~100hrs/year). Talking to the dealer that serviced my boat with the previous owner was more comfortable with a boat that gets used regularly vs. a boat that just sits most of the time. FYI, I picked up my 2003 196 with ZO conversion for 17k back in 2016. Edited February 27, 2023 by david_ski

But I have not come up with a good mounting system yet. 2 Mike's Overall Binding USA Water Ski Senior Judge Senior Driver Senior Tech Controller
Baller aupatking Posted November 17, 2023 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2023 @mmosley899 I'll see if I can figure out exactly how they are mounted in Tynes' 196 and shoot you some pictures and measurements. For a small fee. Maybe a set on Divorce Lake
Baller Robbo5252 Posted February 9 Baller Share Posted February 9 @aupatking Did you have any luck on working the mounting out? Would love a set for my 196 Cheers
Baller Jaypro Posted February 9 Author Baller Share Posted February 9 I now have a ski rack! As you can see I modified the side bolsters previously, I felt they took up too much room. The bolster mod really cleaned it up and gives a little more room for the ski rack.
