I’m guessing no one spoke up because metric is almost a foreign language here I the US.
160 cm or 5’3” and 61kg or 135 lbs is right in the size range. The only reason to go down is if you’re having trouble turning or controlling the ski I n my opinion. There are those that have way more knowledge than I do so hopefully they will speak up.

At 52km, the 66" Ion S should be fine.  Should you progress into 55-58km and start shortening the line you may want to size down to a 65".

I'm also on an Ion S and in between sizes and actually prefer the larger ski where I'm at the bottom of the recommended weight range.

Hello, I am a student who is enjoying water skiing in Korea.

My height and weight 5’3” and 135 lbs
I'm currently using a size D3 Ion soft 66, would it be more helpful for me to use a size 65 if I could use both a size 65 and a size 66?
I'm currently practicing 15 off 34 mph
Does riding just right on the D3 ski benchmark always help water skiing skills?

I see no reason that a 66 is too big but you could easily be on a 65. It also depends on what your boat speed and line length is.

Is it better to choose a size 65 suitable for the company D3's designated size?
