  1. Sorry, @bjoerip12, you can't have this one, but kudos for starting a fun thread!
  2. I’m not from Ontario, but we spend summers at our cottage on Blackfish Bay in Combermere. All summers but this one, that is. No border crossing for us this year. We can usually be found on my slalom course at 9 every morning during July and August.
  3. @bananaron, do you pay that divorce attorney in boats? ;)
  4. @tobyg83 agreed. But I'm not - and with apologies to the Adams, probably never will be - a 35-off skier. The tower interferes at that line length anyway, so that would need to be remedied. In regards to the OP, the RFXi or a revamped SSLXi checks all of the boxes mentioned there, and more. I came from an RLX. When we had kids, the lower freeboard made me nervous when they were in the boat. At the time, I was the only one who slalomed in the family, plus I like to wakeboard. RLX with the Wedge could do it, but an extended pylon was a pain. Now, with the RFXi, my sons and I can ski through the course, wakeboard, tube, and load up the boat with people, ballast, and a suck gate for fantastic days surfing with the neighbors out on the water. This summer, however, we're out of luck because our RFXi is several hours north of us in our garage across the border in Canada. It doesn't matter what boat we have. We're all staying dry this season. But that's a matter for a different discussion.
  5. Malibu dipped their toes back in the water with the Response FXi for ‘09 - ‘12, but it sure doesn’t seem like they sold many of them. I’ve never skied a Sunsetter LXi. From what I understand, it’s wake is better than my FXi’s.
  6. Fluid Motion's EVO RS rear boot has a similar concept with bungee laces instead of buckles.
  7. @jpattigr I'm in! That made my day. Probably a bit of a trek for both of us (2300 miles for me). We're in Great Valley, NY, and the cottage, et al, are in Combermere, ON. Gotta say, though, that this has to be reason 3564 why I love waterskiers! We gotta stick together, Man! *Sorry for the sideways pics
  8. Well, considering that my cottage, boat, course, gear, and ski buddies are all across the border in Canada, it's anybody's guess how much I'll be skiing this summer. I remain hopeful, but that hope diminishes a bit each day.
  9. Still miss my old Connelly shirt that said, “Arms burning, back aching, legs on fire...Never felt better!” Wore it until it wasn’t a t-shirt anymore.
