Drago, what's involved in dropping the rudder? Is there a "how to" somewhere you are aware of?

 

Is the cable problem a problem of the cable getting difficult to turn or too much play in the steering?

 

Many people consider the TSC hulls as some of the best in the industry. There remains a loyal following for theses boats. What have people done to the bubble back boats for the ultimate slalom pull. Things like what prop to use, weighting of nose any tricks of the trade to make the driving or skiing experience better?

My experience was similar to ski jay's a full dislocation. It took a year to get back to skiing and a couple of years to have it normal. I attribute much of my good fortune to a dedicated athletic therapist and following the exercise hand out. The last bit was visiting a active release therapist.

I learned to ski in Lower St. Mary Lake in Montana behind a 14 foot, 40 hp outboard owned by the family in the cabin next to the one my father had rented. I was hooked. I loved the feeling of riding on top of the water.

 

15 years later I was a university student looking for my first boat. I found a windowless 16 foot Sidewinder with a 150 hp outboard. 4 seats and a ski pylon mounted tripod style to the floor and deck. We learned to slalom and barefoot behind it. It was great fun. We have had other boats since but we haven't had any more fun than the fun we had in that first boat.
