It is strange that manufacturers haven't created a flat spot to measure from on all skis if this is the standard way to measure. Maybe it's coming?

FYI, I left my ski in the back of the truck in one of these and as we drove down a dirt road to get to the ski site my ski got covered in fine dust. To my dismay, someone tried to wipe it off and scratched my black '17 Pro Build, I was bummed!

We have a 10-15 minute boat ride to our course with no dock, what are some in the boat or on the platform ideas?

Find your local old school hot rod engine builder, take it to him or whomever he recommends and have them give it the once over. These guys are getting far and few. Boats usually have different carbs than cars etc.

Not sure what year your World Team is but if it's the same as the one I have in my vintage collection, huge upgrade. Whatever, if it's in your budget buy it and ski on it. Better to ski on lesser than not to ski at all!

For $50.00 it would look cool on the wall or throw it in the boat for your buddies to use. I always keep a vest, old gloves, beater ski etc. in the boat cause someone always forgets or doesn't have their own. It also encourages them to buy their own gear and make more of a commitment to the sport, hopefully.

I used the 2l pop bottles on my old lift, it worked fine. I did get a lot of pooling of water when it rained so I kept a piece of bilge pump hose and syphoned the water off.

I saw one rig, maybe on here, that was like an inflatable sac that floated the lift up. It would only get you so far into shore but save you if you’re lift is in deeper water. It was pricey and I’ve spent enough money on my lift already, should’ve done something different to start with.

I am wondering the same, it looks like BNG and plastic tail.

I appreciate the offer but my 5'4", 130lbs might be a bit light. I have a fairly extensive collection myself and have always been looking at those but never knew which was the one to have. I just picked up a 65" T3 that I want to ride once this ice and cold bugger off!

'95 is the first year of efi, no carb BS to deal with and you don't have the extra fuel pump/filter hassle of the '97 and newer. I'm not good enough to notice any diff. between the slant back and the bubble back wake, both great!

This clearly doesn't sound like a good idea. Ski on what you have until you can afford an upgrade. Like another thread on here, if you buy some $50.00 bindings that don't line up, it's obvious why they were $50.00, walk away from the deal. There are plenty of great, used skis out there for a range of prices, don't risk your skiing future on some Frankenstien equipment.

We've got some -36F coming in the next few days, the fireplace will be getting used. New issue of Waterski Journal showed up yesterday, that's as close as I'll be getting to any skiing for quite some time.

There's some pretty scary turn islands out there whether you are the skier or the driver. Especially for new skiers or new to the site. Definite wake you up on that first, early morning set!

Use it as is, after obviously ditching the tower, so that you can get a good idea of everything it's going to need. Then you can decide and you'd only be into it for the 5 bones. It would be a cool boat restored or not but a resto could quickly get out of control.

I've been holding off on listening to the latest few as I'll need something for those long walks with the hound on our frozen lake. These keep me going and motivated.

Unfortunately, for a lot of people, coaching is considerably more expensive than $300.00. When you live in Canada and do the math, including our unbelievably shitty dollar, it runs into the thousands for a 3 or 4 day trip. Also a stop at Perf and, well...you get the picture. I only wish that I lived in Orlando and had access to coaching like that. It's also cool to look at new gear never mind using it.

Today I am looking at 4" of fresh snow on our frozen lakes and talking sleds and deer.

It's most unfortunate that there is negative criticism regarding products/people trying to improve the sport. If you haven't tried the fin or the new optimized rope, you really should. If they don't work for you then that's fine, sell them. I have both and felt the improvement on the first ride.

Your session on gates was great and I've listened to it many times. Now, the next step, pre gate and gate timing including line length progression.
