  1. @DefectiveDave‌ - 2 observations: you are pulling out and slowing down too much, which is causing you to get sucked in. I would recommend pulling out later and getting higher on the boat. That should enable you turn in with more speed and stop you from sinking and getting sucked back in. The other observation is the need to get stacked. For me, thinking about squeezing my butt cheeks was the key to teaching me the stacked position.
  2. @MattP‌ Rini's settings put slightly more ski tip in the water, so the ski finishes with more angle. Also I feel like the edge change is earlier/quicker/easier due to more fin tip but less fin depth. Rini's settings freed up the ski compared to Rossi's, but as a result Rini's settings give up some stability compared to Rossi's numbers. At the end of the day, it wasn't a huge difference. I would definitely ski both settings to see what you like best.
  3. I ski on 2 courses in Orange County. One on lake Sybelia, semi-private like you mentioned above and one on lake minnehaha, fully public. Both are permanent and both have permits. Rollins college is in Orange County and on a public lake, they often have 2 portable courses out for their ski team, but I have no idea on their permit situation.
  4. @us_tdl I would go with the 10. The new intuition liners are thicker than the older liners. I had 2010 Strada boots, size 9, with the gray liners (very thin) and they fit great. The liner wore out, so I got the new black liner in the same size, but my front toes were scrunched. The boot finally wore out so I got a new vapor boot. I tried on both the 9 and 10. The 10 felt better. I also wear a 9.5 running shoe. The 10 will also allow you to utilize the insert.
