Collegiate skiing kept me in school... skied for Purdue 04-08 only regret was I didn’t go back for a masters cause I only skied A team. For 3 years. Coulda had one more year....

Met my wife thru a skier on my team... Was President for a year, which gave me something to talk about in job interviews out of school. Wouldn’t trade that experience for the world.

lake was built in 95, is 12 acres of water on 50 acres, 1 hour from downtown knoxville. Currently there is one house on the lake, it is sole ownership and is for sale. I am trying to find a way to buy it... Willing to partner with some one for lake access or a lot on the lake depending on how much capital they can put down. there is potential to subdivide 2-4 lots. Bringing this thread back to life... It's currently looking up for a ski course near Folsom. If you're interested in getting involved PM me. Our contact with club members/future club members will be through email and facebook.

Any Ballers want to share their club's charter and by-laws with me? Need a start for a public ski course. We are in the final stages of approval with BLM so trying to get our Non-profit setup so we can start fundraising and purchasing equipment.

 

Note: the non profit will be a club with the purpose of promoting the sport of water skiing and maintaining a course on a public lake with a specific "ski area" blocked off by a 5mph ski zone.

We use Stearns Puddle Jumpers. My kid wears it all day long and loves it and it's uscg approved, but not for skiing. 15 bucks on Amazon. Then I switch it out with a neoprene ski jacket when he goes behind the boat. The rest of the time he's in the puddle jumper and has been for the past 2 years

 

Submitting an application to BLM soon and I was wondering if any one had a picture of the sign outside of the public ski course on New Melones or Don Pedro. Or any other public lake would help. Not limited to California

How about a projected Path for the driver.. Relative to the buoys. (Thinking heads up display here). And then you would only need 6 turn balls, 2 entrance, 2 exit and one greenie on either end of the course. Pick your starting point, idle through the course and toss them out so you conserve batter life.

I happened join century club on that Blue Ramp at lake lottawatta... It is still my most favorite ramp. We need rules, we just don't need more of it. Especially if it excludes an awesome 3 event site.

Not in college... just haven't had a boat with speed control till now. Hoping to get back into the trick game. Issue with toe tricks is trusting a pinner... None of my ski partners trick.

I picked up a reflex binding system for a pretty good deal for my slalom, and was thinking about moving over to a hardshell for trick. I've never tricked with a hardshell...

 

What are opinions on learning flips? Try and learn the flips, then switch over? Or switch over and bite the bullet. Is a releasable binding advantageous during the learning process?

 

I'm a 1120 tricker on a single pass.

 

 

on a side note... I've got an old beat up KD trick that's 43". Wiley binding on it. If anyone is moving up to the D3 Aira, i'd be happy to pick up a newer used 43" trick ski.

Skiing the course is exactly like a pendulum or a baby swing... with rockets attached to the swing

I use to use a 3 event bag... but now i mostly slalom, so i just use a snow board bag (with wheels)
