  1. MB had an optional rack on their 190-200 ski boat back in the day. (15-20 yrs) Fixed pieces of black ABS I believe. The set-up held two skis on their side and allowed at least one more on the floor, I was always surprised there wasn't a generic version to install in other boats I would buy one.
  2. The 94 is a great ski boat, I am behind one often I don't think there was a better slalom MC until this year. The late 80s were well made but a rough ride and are known on our lake as the "Aqua Massages' due to marble to near golf ball size spray pelting the skiers in any type of wind! OUCH
  3. This is one of the problems with our sport we have accepted the 'voodoo' as progress. I can't think of other sports with these kind of variables? RPM based Accuski & PP only required weight of skier/crew and minor RPM adjustments to provide a very nice pull, then PP came with a switch and KY+/- and ZOx9. It's a shame really.

     

    However, Splash Eye sounds like a very cool system and something that provides almost instant feedback and confirmation of a good run.

     

    Hoping the good stuff survives and helps us!

  4. Why do we need so many combinations of speed control settings? no matter the engine, prop or skier size the goal is the same.... K.I.S.S, the boat needs to proceed through the course as straight and consistently close to desired speed as possible. Having so many variations seems like overkill and just causes confusion for everyone. "A or B or C" might be fine, but ABC & 123?? Darn 'geek engineers'

    I will be interested to see what the next system brings....

  5. You might find an (late 80s early 90s) American Skier, TBX or Volante (?) in that price range. Depending on your area and if there was a dealer selling them, there are several around here that seem to be very well built and very nice ski wakes. Of course there are a lot more Mid 80s Mastercrafts still going strong too and ski very well.
  6. Centerline tracking or deviation certainly would be welcome, there is probably even technology out there in the from of automotive Lane Departure Warning systems that could be adapted.

    Have to agree with ToddL, having to make the transition to ZO is tough physically and financially, so tough I haven't let go of my Accuski-ProTour or the spare parts and pieces I keep in the basement!

    Call me nostalgic ...... and don't take away my Blackberry either! HA

  7. I have that same engine in my Centurion Eclipse, it's been rock solid and have 1100hrs on it. I had the same issue with the prop that came from the factory. It was only letting the engine hit 4720 RPM at WOT, my prop shop checked the pitch and it was true @ 13x13. They said the boat was laboring and the engine needed to run at 5200-5400 RPM WOT. We talked to ACME marine told them what was going on and they recommended a prop they had for one of the larger Malibu's at the time. I think it's a 12.5 x 14 (can check), made a huge difference, besides being a super smooth and quiet prop it allows the engine run at almost 5300RPM and I gained 3mph top end without any issues on the low end pulls. NOTE: You do have to be careful not to let the heat in the box build up on really hot days because you can get a vapor lock, the MPI rails sit right on top of the block under that large metal 'scorpion' plate.
  8. Great sport to Play and Watch. I think you appreciate the game more if you have played it and understand what has to happen to move the ball over 100 yards to score a goal. It's not a good American TV Sport because there isn't time for commercials, bathroom breaks or beer runs. But these guys run for 90 minutes straight most are incredible shape, if they fall down and take a little dive to get a breather I get it. Also agree with Moggie you don't need a lot of goals to have really exciting game, the rest of world thinks the game is perfect that way it is now, .... Go USA!
  9. Age 12-15 cutting lawns, 15+ Bus Boy, Cook, Waiter Provino's in ATL (OB I bet you know it!?). First job in College, 'Ski Host' at local ski hill, greet people in the morning, help them get rental gear lift tix etc..... answer silly questions like "no ma'am I'm sorry we don't give refunds because it's snowing". My boss told me between 10AM and 3PM he wanted to see me skiing, helping people with 'yard sales', and in the singles line catching rides with customers and getting their feedback....nothing else. Great Gig!
  10. I was a 65.5" Goode Skier from the 9100-9500 until the 66.25" 9600 came out ----loved that ski and the same size 9800. Went to the Nano One 65" because of the 'new shape'. Just never felt completely comfortable on it....gave me a slow sinking feeling, I'm now on a 66" XT and it feels Just Right. (5'11" 190lbs LFF)
  11. Nice looking wrap love the MB200 great boat, I've had a wrap on my Centurion for 6 years and it's held up well. Really easy to care for too. The only place I have had issues is around the gas cap due to drips and a couple little rubs here and there.

    George hope to catch up with you at the ProAm this spring....my GF pointed out that the ATL Tournament can be capped off with Jimmy Buffet at Chastain Park on Monday. Nice planning man!
