  1. I've often thought that slalom spray seemed bigger when I was a kid. Many things seem bigger when you are smaller. After watching this and many other vintage tournament videos I do think that slalom spray was, in fact, bigger back then. I'm pretty sure that as ski designs have improved and become more efficient that spray has suffered. Not saying that we should go back to '80s equipment, but could ski designers engineer ginormous spray back into the skis while keeping modern performance? Chicks dig it and it looks cool.
  2. I have a '98 with the ProBoss GT-40. I called PCM because there were so many opinions about oil on the forums. The engineer I talked to said they recommend Shell Rotella 15w-40. I've been using it for years and my engine runs great.
  3. So many of these apply. And the ones that don't, I totally understand.
  4. They are all beautiful boats. Bumble Bee is my favorite.
  5. I laughed when I read that Corpus "isn't too far" from SPI. I guess it's closer than San Antonio or Houston, but I wouldn't describe it as not too far.
  6. "This boat also increases your slalom PB by 4 buoys, trick PB by 150 points, and jump PB by 25 feet so shoot me a message if you're interested in upping your ski game!" Nice salesmanship. :D bthotu
  7. Thanks. Particularly interested in front right now. How long have all the manufacturers been using the current mounting pattern?
  8. Forgive my ignorance, but do all skis have the same mounting pattern for bindings? If so, how long have they all been using the same pattern?
  9. @swc5150 I agree about the Malibu. Saw one at the Dallas show last year and it looked much better in person than in pictures.
  10. Went to the Austin boat show yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see a Ski Nautique. (Would love to ski behind one, but the looks still have not grown on me.) Anyone else see a three-event tow boat at your boat show?
  11. I just moved to Burnet. I would also like to know where the course is on LBJ.
  12. Went to the Dallas show last night. Got to see the new SN in person for the first time. I was hoping I would like the looks more in person, but it still looks weird. Obviously, though, a great performing boat, and I would love to ski behind it. Pleasantly surprised to see a TXi. Sadly, but expected, no ProStar.
  13. Not coaching that I received, but a statement that I overheard at a boat show from some dude talking to the group that he was with: Waterskiing is the opposite of snow skiing. The better you get, the shorter the ski you want.
