IMO the key point is that R&D of automotive industry uses standard fuels which pass strict quality control in their lab. They do not use any fuel from the nearest gas station ))

Whereas gas which we buy today is different from gas which we bought yesterday. Even from the same pump. Too many sources of supply and quite soft parameters tolerance. It is always slightly different gasoline.

@SlalomSteve I Changed RTP (HO) to rear boot for the same reason. But my rear knee did not like it and started aching. Therefore went back to RTP. The problem solved with Radar BOA RTP. After few runs I found proper adjustment. Also BOA RTP holds foot in place better because the material is less slippery than rubber.

@JackQ You are right!

Caloric value of the fuel is not the same that detonation resistance (octane No). There is not direct dependance between them.

Moreover (theoretically) high octane fuel could be less powerfull comparing to lower octane.

@rtp232 you may consider RTP as a super loose rear binding. In this logic combination of L front & XL Rear must be safe.

Last year I bought Lithium Senate 20.

In two months nearly 1/3 of incerts got out of the ski. Never happened with other skis....

Whithout BPM (heartrate data) during and between passes it is just a guesswork. IMO.

@BraceMaker few times in HRT I found my heel staying on the back rim of the boot. Rare situation, but enough to feel uncomfortable.

By the way, some time ago I posted one of my experiments of RTP modification:

 

 

I may say that Perfski is the one of the most supportive and customer friendly onlains. Also may say only good words about Wileys.

@BraceMaker for the sake of experiment once I attached heel strap to RTP. Skiing is very nice and comfy but this setup did look absolutely unreleasable. At least it the water I could not get out without stretching strap with fingers. Removed.

May be there is a hack how to fix this problem?

I use rear Venon one size larger than front boot. I allows heel lift (my calf is stiff) and keeps foot exactly where it must be. Feels like RTP.
