  1. definitely a cool vid...how many points is the handle touch to enema worth?
  2. Growing up i was taught to show the handle in the air until the rope was taught, then "hit it" and the boat went. First time I started skiing with the club I yelled that i was ready multiple times when the rope was tight, there was a delay and then the driver communicated "here we go". Took a few times to get used to but now its a science. Ill definitely have to try some of those out next time we meet up thought lol
  3. Do banks finance for a boat thats more than a few years old? just curious, never looked into purchasing one.
  4. I have a Syndicate comp vest i got in 2014 for a super deal, only complaint i have is floatation, and it really only bothers me at the end of my last set or so because im tired
  5. conrgrats brother, i wish i could ski at least 1 day a week, More like a few sets every 2 weeks here in the desert. But any time on the water is a good time!
  6. Is there a live video feed for nationals?
  7. Oh yeah also i am gainfully employed lol just looking for better opportunities.
  8. Bartender by trade, recently moved to Las Vegas. A lot of adds here online do "open call" interviews, show up between 1 and 3 or whatever time and "we'll talk". Im sure you can imagine the amount of people that show up to some of them. I've been bar tending for about 5 years now, and while I may not be the most qualified im certainly not the least. Now almost every job I have had in my life I have been offered at the end of an interview. Well I attended an open call the other day and my gf has been on me about calling them back. To call, or not to call, that is the question, so to speak. And I see her point: Be a go getter, shows you have enthusiasm and want to work. But my view is chalk it up as an experience, if they wanted to hire me I think they would have offered. Now i know theres probably a million reasons why I could or couldnt have been hired but its just been on my mind. We're 5 days in. Interview was on Friday 7/29. Do you call? Is that unprofessional? Thanks for the opinions in advance
  9. Not real familiar with marine engines but they all go suck, squish, bang, blow. So my first question, is there a check engine light? no is possible and there could still be a trouble code on the ecm without a light, maybe a cylinder misfire. First check would be spark in all cylinders. New Plugs might be the cheap fix. Now days im guessing each cylinder has its own coil pack which would result in a much more obvious problem like a significant lack of power if one were to fail. Alternately, sounds like a possible failing oxygen sensor thats not happy until it reaches optimal running temp. Doubtful to cause any damage when it does fail, just an inconvenience to a day of skiing. Just some thoughts from an old car nerd.
  10. I think i may have reassembled them wrong. I was having a lot of movement in the bindings so i took them apart and put them back together with some blue locktite. Looking once it was together the rear binding is connected to the little plate with springs, like its supposed to be able to lift? I don't know, but it doesn't move which also doesn't seem correct because the springs have to be there for a reason right? I skied on it like it is now once and didn't seem to limit any performance at my level. Just curious if anyone knew or had pics of how it was supposed to go back together.
  11. Technically I joined in 2014 but I think I've only posted a few times so we'll call me a noob. My name is Chris, 32 and I live in Las Vegas, NV. Been in the desert a little over a year now. Finally got on the water with the Wet Set club in Newberry Springs last weekend and it was awesome. I grew up in Kentucky but spent summers on Birch Lake in SW Michigan. Free skiing and wakeboarding my summers away. Met some friends in the summer '14 while I lived in South Bend, IN and got some time and coaching on the course. Made it through on the old Kidder I had been riding forever at 15 off @ 28 mph, and with enough shit given purchased a Goode 9960. Only had a few sets on the new ski but needless to say im hooked. Looking forward to meeting up with the Wet Set club again next weekend!
  12. The most frustrating thing for me is moving to a new city and not knowing anyone. Or having a place to ski because its the desert haha thankful for the internet and BOS to help find a ski club near me. Finally will get to ski for the first time in almost exactly a year! Come on Saturday!
  13. maybe im coming out the front here, but whenever i open a page on the forum it puts me at the very bottom of the page. does this happen to anyone else and is there a fix? maybe its a rookie mistake thanks
  14. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place. Anyway, I moved to Las Vegas almost a year ago from Indiana to explore. Doing so I gave up access to lake frontage, which my pops owned, and also access to the (sigh) boat and skiing partner. I know, sounded silly to me too, but turns out there's actually water out here! Only problems are I don't know anyone, or where to go, and furthermore I don't have a boat....yet lol Thought maybe would be a cool way to meet some people, or at least get some insight. I'm super chill and certainly throw down for gas if anyone wants to take a poor mid-western guy for a ride. Or at the very least maybe I created some conversation.
