  3. I am a believer that no binding system is completely ‘safe’ and you accept you are at a certain level of risk of injury by putting ‘the’ binding on your foot. The level of risk you put yourself at is dependant upon many factors including your goals, your experience, maintenance of the equipment even if you use double boots or RTP and what combination of such.

     

    All the binding systems are good, but none of them are perfect. What is right for you may not be right for your mate, try some things out and go with whatever you think feels best and will be best suited to achieve your goals.

     

    As someone who ruptured his Achilles in a slalom crash this spring using a reflex binding, I still recomend the reflex binding option, and I think there is a lot to be said for that...

  4. Wiley one size larger than you would usually go. Thats not going to be too tight and is going to be more than adequate to meet you needs. Why add it the risk of using a mechanical releasing binding mechanism when all you want to do is get back in the course? Easiest, safest and (probably) the cheapest option.
