  1. This is a long shot...but, Any ballers in the Duluth area? College student with Thursdays off, and I could justify ~30min travel. Used to ride bike a lot & saw some potential water sports lakes in the area...
  2. @Wish oops. Meant to type Clearwater as I'm off of CO rd 8, but we are still in the vicinity. I ride bike past lake Briggs & always busy by my eye. No course that I've been able to see from the road. Id love to get set up ~20min from home or less. One of those lakes bound by Clearwater, Clear Lake & Saint cloud?
  3. 30 minutes west of Big Lake trying to establish something in the Clear Lake area for next season. College student at school with no team (Duluth). Coming back from 2X shoulder repair last three seasons
  4. @thager I may take you up on that, but only as a spontaneous late season option. We may just order one as well, depending on what can be done with the other 2 props. Bouncing back from shoulder injury and two blown seasons, so getting on the water is top priority right now. Boat gets it done for my brother and I who are light enough to run the under powered setup.
  5. Update....up rpms with a (13X16) OJ. Still a little weak out of the hole but P.P holding better & hitting all our ski speeds!
  6. Thank you for the responses. The boat is working great to get us out on the water but a real issue when pulling anyone over 150lbs @>32mph. Boat was purchased with (13X16) 4 blade OJ 206 presumed to be added for wakeboarding. Previous owner had a tower & killer sound system in the boat. Test drove & contributed sluggishness to prop so swapped to 4 blade OJ legend 401 which the owner provided with purchase. Engine check was clear at the end of last season but we are still sluggish!
  7. @chef23 Thanks for the detailed response. I will look into that CX then and maybe we just have to watch his growth and order later to decide on size. Problem with his age is he could put on 20lbs in a season probably. Feel weird considering a 67 for him though as that is what I ski on in a Radar Vice. I just got in the course last year so ski that at 32mph 15 off, but seems to perform just fine. Ski season is shared with cycling for me though so my weight was only at 145 lbs through the summer. He could easily pass me up over the winter.
  8. @Chef23 I was thinking either a CX or TX from the start and was just looking for confirmation. I was leaning toward a TX for a little more surface area at slower speeds. Do you think he would be better off on a traditional width CX?
  9. Hey ballers, Looking for opinions of good junior ski from either Obrien or HO. Have special access to either of these brands and thought a new ski would be a cool gift for my little brother. He is 13 years old (120-130 lbs), advanced free skier with really good form across the wakes so far. Our family is looking to get better course access for next year so he will be getting a lot of time on the water. Currently skiing on mom's Obrien WT ski @ 28-30 mph. I figured stay on a 65 since he is able to turn it ok so far, but wondering which model would be better suited for him. Thanks for any input!
  10. @Orlando76 more pictures also available of interior detail/etc of the '78. Just used ones currently on phone when I set up the listing
  11. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/boa/5723323228.html There is the link for the '78. Price is high we are aware. Open to offers. Checking out the postings and stuff you guys dug up. Thanks for all the input. Have looked in to most of them on there, but leaving for college soon (tuesday) so was honestly just looking for something close to at least look at before move-in. We are in the market for a boat though and will be looking through this fall-next spring. New to me... parents also considering newer models so anybody with a tsc3 or 2010+ mastercraft or nautique or knowledge of one for sale let me know.
  12. @oldjeep they used to be a Nautique dealer and still take in quite a few used. @wish I was debating posting it there to start but figured we could try our luck on craigslist first. Might talk price with parents tonight and get an ad up then.
  13. Letting the one in WI sit. I think our plan now is to look for a functional 196 in good condition around a $14-18 price range. I'm in charge of the research but not the money so everything has to pass w/ parents in terms of price, their taste, etc. Would keep trying at selling the '78 or eventually just sell it to dealer to avoid storage
  14. Got bored during my recovery from shoulder surgery and decided to start playing with my gopro more yesterday. Here's the link to a short edit I threw together last night of my 2015 snow skiing season. I'm hoping to heal up well and get some better footage this spring/next year and give it another shot. Also going to try to get some waterskiing footage this summer and see what I can do with that.
  15. Pain pretty much died off already and doing some easy elbow/wrist exercises to stay loose. Hoping to move to a lighter Sling in 2 weeks and aiming to get on bike (indoor trainer) in 4. @6ball excited to get back on the water and will be trying to be lighter and stronger than before
