  1. Sprained my ankle pretty bad last fall and Was laid up a decent part of the winter. Now that the weather is nice I've been skiing again and hoping to jump this weekend. Does anyone wear an ankle brace/sleeve while skiing and have any recommendations? I'm mostly concerned with wearing a brace jumping and being able to eject properly if the need arises. I recently switched to an edge binding with an RTP for slaom but would like to wear a brace/sleeve for Both. Any insight/ past experience is much appreciated!
  2. Thanks everyone for the input. @mmosley899 it was heel up type fall/injury but I would not say I went OTF (if that makes a difference) . Resulted in a pretty gnarly sprained ankle.
  3. Been tossing around the idea of hardhsell bindings for awhile now, just haven't been able to pull the trigger. But after an injury this collegiate season I feel a change is in order. I've been looking into a few different brands. I haven't been able to find much on either the syndicate hardshells vs the Edge Hardshells. Ive heard from a few sources that they are pretty similar, I was hoping someone who knows more about this than me could shed some light on these two binders for me. Thanks in advance

@ahopkinsTXi We have not looked into them I believe. I will let our president know they were recommended and have him take a look! Thanks

@swc5150 we love when stout grads come and talk to us! the stump is up on the river off the north end of the lake. Its pretty safe for the most part but once you go around the 90 degree bend on the river it gets pretty shallow. And to answer your question, no, the stump is not marked. We are going to go up there and find the stump and other parts of the Ole Malibu and get it marked once we get a depth finder put on our new boat. Hope to see you out!

We have had a number of companies that gave us quotes but they are all were significantly higher than Global Marine was, which we were expecting being a significantly nicer boat. But we were not expecting them to almost quadruple. @keithh2oskier they did not say, I would assume its from the claim. we had claimed one minor thing before and this accident, which was considered a "total loss" by the company.

@jjackkrash we had Global Marine insuring the Malibu for 7 or 8 years I'm pretty sure. we called them to get insurance on the Nautique before we brought it on the 800 mile trip home and they dropped us. Do you know of any other companies that have a good track record in dealing with boats and ski clubs?

After a rough patch late last fall the University of Wisconsin Stout finally brought home a new boat! As some of you probably saw we hit a stump last fall and it sent our '98 response to the bottom of the lake. After a long winter of fundraising and a spring of low team moral with not having a boat we finally found a boat in our price range with zero off and lower hours. We look forward to hitting the water soon and getting our course and jump ready for the upcoming season!
  9. @skiinxs I ski on a collegiate team in Wisconsin, we have a jump switch from our old boat. We just upgraded to a boat with ZO were all a little confused on what the letters meant and what each one did. Thanks all for the input and advice!
  10. I am very new to the world of zero off. Could someone enlighten me on what the different letters mean in the jump setting? Or point me in the right direction? I've been looking online and have only been able to find the slalom settings. Thanks in advance for any help!
  11. I have never had any problems with my Vapor but I have always wanted to ride a D3. Have heard many good things about them but never had the opportunity to try one.
  12. @MrJones‌ what kind of support do you get on your rear foot with the R-Style? Is it more supportive like a double boot or is it more loose like a toe plate?
  13. @mattp Yes, your comparison would be very much appreciated!
  14. @than_Bogan you seem to be against the reflex bindings. Any reason why or do you just prefer the the OB4?
  15. Is the Reflex designed to release in a fall like the OB4? Or will it stay attached like normal rubber bindings?
