  1. To all the guys at wiremill - great comp! Ran really smooth with some awesome scores. Great stuff!
  2. Run off for first. Will and nate both score 3@10.25. Nate out first. Going out at 10.75
  3. JT, Nick and Brian progress to final all scoring above Tyler's 2.5@10.75
  4. Run of between nick Adams, Brian detrick, Tyler yager and JT for final 3 places in final
  5. Yesterday I tweeted Des Burke-Kennedy to ask about a webcast. He replied saying it wasn't too likely but they will be working on an edited TV show for global distribution.
  6. Could anyone let me know what the layout of the event was and how the scoring worked? What scores did the OM get? Sounds like it was a really good event! Cheers guys
  7. I am in total shock. My thoughts are with his family and friends. He was coming over to compete in the 35+ Europeans which was being held at our club in the UK next week. He put a lot of effort and support into it when he found out that the comp was going to be held in the UK. I am absolutely gutted that he won't be there to compete because the feeling I got was that he was very excited about coming over and we were all in awe that he was coming to our club. Sadly I never met him, but considering his status within water skiing; from what I heard and have read on here, what an unbelievably approachable and engaging person he was with anyone who wanted to tap into his knowledge. He saw one of the promo videos for next week's comp which contained mainly me skiing and he commented how good it looked!! I think he was commenting on the video overall and not just my skiing ;). I was made up that he had made that comment though. I never met the guy and yet he still saw me ski and made a positive comment. If only other sports stars of that calibre were the same. This word gets used far too often but he was an absolute legend. RIP Andy.
  8. @klindy Sorry - I should've been a bit clearer. I'm a UK skier so when I said a 'rankings tournament', that is only type of tournament we hold when a camera in the boat is required i.e. for approving records. Agreed – transmitting from the boat to the shore will be the issue. Although, my mate has a drone which flies a fair distance and that transmits a live video feed straight to his iPad so he can steer / fly the thing. I’ll ask him how that works. Not sure how easy it would be to live pause and rewind if a review was required though. One for someone techy to figure out!
  9. Should there not be a rule that stipulates that in a rankings tournament, the boat camera needs to be HD (min. 720p) and record at (lets say) 120fps? That way it should be easier to tell if a skier did or didn't go round a buoy, when reviewing frame by frame? I'd say the same goes for the gate cameras too. The reason I say this is because there have been instances where the quality of the freeze frames haven't been that great and therefore makes the final decision subjective.
  10. What is the age range of B2? Thanks.
